How we turned an events company's sales-focused online store into a fast rental-and-service catalog that hands every order to their CRM, ready to quote.
The Challenge
This company plans, delivers, sets up, runs and takes down in-person experiences. Their customers don't buy a product off a shelf. They rent equipment and book a team for a date.
Their website was built as a standard store for product sales, so it couldn't handle rental plus service. Every order needed someone to copy the details into the CRM, look up the customer's history and start a quote by hand. The catalog was also very large, and the site had become extremely slow, losing visitors before they ever saw a package.
The Solution
We rebuilt the store around how the business actually sells.
Catalog, not checkout. We converted the store into a rental-and-service catalog. Customers build their event, and the site hands it to the team to price, instead of forcing a product checkout.
Orders go straight to the CRM. Each order is pushed directly to the CRM, tagged by item and event type, and linked to the customer's full history.
Quotes start themselves. The quote process kicks off automatically, so the sales team opens a ready-to-price deal instead of a blank form.
Abandoned cart follow-up. Visitors who build an event and leave get an automatic reminder to come back and finish.
Speed overhaul. We reworked how the large catalog loads so the site feels fast again, even with hundreds of items. (confirm item count)
The Result
The sales team no longer retypes orders or hunts for customer history. Every inquiry arrives tagged, with its history attached and a quote already moving, which has saved countless hours of manual work.
The site is fast again, and abandoned events now get a second chance instead of disappearing. (add one number here if you have it: load time, inquiries, or hours saved per week)
